Robert Wyatt first came to public attention during the late 1960s, as drummer/vocalist with avant-garde rock pioneers, Soft Machine. In June 2001 was curator of the Meltdown festival and in 2004 his album ‘Cuckooland’, which featured guests including Paul Weller, Brian Eno and David Gilmour, was shortlisted for the Mercury Music Prize.
