The BASCA Gold Badge Awards have been presented for over forty years and honour those who have worked tirelessly to support the British songwriting and composing community.
They are an opportunity for the music writing community to come together and celebrate the achievements of an exceptional group of people who have made a unique contribution to the UK music industry.
Success in the music industry is a team effort and the BASCA Gold Badge Awards are about acknowledging the unique contribution each recipient has made to the lives of British songwriters and composers.
Each year Professional BASCA members are asked to nominate individuals that they personally feel deserve recognition for the work they have done in support of the British songwriting and composing community. BASCA’s Gold Badge Awards Committee, a sub-committee of the BASCA Board, then meet to decide those invited to collect a Gold Badge Award that year. The Committee comprises of songwriters, lyricists and composers from BASCA’s professional membership.
The 2017 award ceremony takes place on Monday 2nd October at The Savoy, London. A daytime event, the ceremony follows a drinks reception and three course lunch in The Savoy’s Ballroom. Up to 320 guests attend to celebrate the achievements of twelve exceptional people.
