About the Gold Badge Awards

The BASCA Gold Badge Awards celebrate a unique contribution to music.  They recognise outstanding individuals who have supported the songwriting and composing community.

The diverse range of skills and expertise that supports the careers of professional songwriters and composers. From performers and musicians, publisher and managers, orchestrators and arrangers, commissioners and music producers to inspirational music creators.

The ceremony gives BASCA members, and the wider UK music industry, an opportunity to come together and recognise this exceptional talent, honour each individual recipient and celebrate community.

The 44th BASCA Gold Badge Awards take place on Monday 2 October 2017 at The Savoy in London.  The event begins with a drinks reception in The Savoy River Room overlooking the Thames, which is followed by a three course lunch in The Savoy Ballroom. The ceremony, hosted by songwriter Guy Fletcher OBE, honours up to twelve people. 

The Gold Badge Awards are sponsored by PPL and PRS for Music.
