The Gold Badge Awards luncheon is held in October at The Savoy, London. The ceremony is hosted by Guy Fletcher OBE and presented by BASCA in association with PRS for Music. The awardsRecipients are presented with a gold tuning-fork lapel-badge and a certificate of honour. The badge is worn by past recipients as an acknowledgement from their friends and colleagues of the skill, devotion and commitment they have displayed in their particular field. A commemorative programme is also produced containing citations to each recipient from a close friend or colleague. |
These have included Sir Tim Rice’s praise of Hank Marvin or Norman Cook’s personal reflection on the career and character of Michael Eavis. BASCA’s professional members are encouraged to nominate colleagues that they feel deserve recognition. The Gold Badge Committee then diligently works to ensure each year represents the breath of talent working right across our industry. The 37th Gold Badge Awards will take place at The Savoy, London on Wednesday 20th October 2010. |
